Job Description

At Electronic Arts, we're looking for a skilled Character Artist to join our team. As a key member of our production crew, you'll be responsible for creating high-quality character models and assets that bring our games to life.

About the Role

We're seeking an experienced artist with a strong background in 3D modeling, texturing, and rigging. You'll work closely with our team to ensure that all character assets meet our quality standards and are optimized for real-time performance.

Responsibilities
  • Create high-quality character models, textures, and animations that meet our game's art style and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with our upstream and downstream teams to ensure that all character assets are delivered on time and meet project requirements.
  • Participate in project R&D and contribute to the development of new tools and workflows.
  • Contribute to the documentation of our visual quality, workflow, tools, and tips.
  • Ramp up new artists on the team and provide guidance and support as needed.
  • Work on internal finishing and integration after receiving files from external teams.
Requirements

We're looking for someone with:

  • 3+ years of experience in AAA game production as a character artist.
  • A solid understanding of human anatomy, hard surface modeling, fabric sculpting, hair creation, and texturing.
  • Good knowledge of shape language, silhouette, and color theory.
  • The ability to adapt to any project modeling style with mentoring from senior staff.
  • Good knowledge of real-time character creation workflows and a strong curiosity to explore new tools and workflows.
  • Basic understanding of rigging and animation.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Benefits
