Quantitative Researcher Intern

Tower Research Capital is seeking a talented Quantitative Researcher Intern to join our team. As a key member of our trading team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and deploying high-frequency trading algorithms. You will work closely with our senior management to explore trading ideas by analyzing market data and market microstructure for patterns. Your expertise in creating tools to analyze data for patterns will be invaluable in contributing to our libraries of analytical computations to support market data analysis and trading. Additionally, you will develop, augment, and calibrate exchange simulators to enhance our trading strategies.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to be a Bachelor's student majoring in computer science, mathematics, physics, electrical engineering, or a related field. You should have a strong foundation in object-oriented programming languages, with C++ and Python being preferred. Your working knowledge of Linux/Unix will also be beneficial. Past industry experience and experience as a Teaching Assistant or participation in relevant Olympiads are a plus. Familiarity with machine learning, data analysis, market research, and data modeling will also be advantageous. Strong problem-solving abilities, a passion for new technologies and ideas, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment are essential. Strong communication skills and a passion for financial markets are also desirable.
