About the Role

We are looking for a qualified teacher with a passion for education and a strong background in curriculum development. As an English Teacher - Curriculum Developer, you will be responsible for creating and implementing high-quality English language curricula that meet the needs of our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Curriculum Development:
    • Create and implement English language curricula that align with international standards (e.g., IB MYP, British National Curriculum, or equivalent).
    • Design and develop lesson plans that promote critical thinking, creativity, and effective communication skills.
    • Develop and evaluate formative and summative assessments to measure student progress and inform instruction.
  • Teaching and Learning:
    • Plan and deliver engaging English lessons that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
    • Use a variety of teaching strategies and resources to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
  • Classroom Management:
    • Create a positive and respectful classroom atmosphere that encourages active participation and engagement.
    • Maintain high expectations for behavior and academic achievement.
  • Professional Development:
    • Participate in ongoing professional learning opportunities to stay updated on best practices in teaching English.
    • Reflect on teaching practices and seek opportunities for continuous improvement.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in English, Education, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • Teaching certification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
  • Minimum 2 years of teaching experience at the middle school level, preferably in an international or bilingual school setting.
  • Experience with [specify curriculum, e.g., IB MYP, Common Core, or equivalent].
  • Strong proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
