The role of the Industrial Engineer involves overseeing the advancement of new production processes and equipment in collaboration with the Manufacturing Engineering team. You will ensure that the equipment complies with the technical specifications established by the Manufacturing Engineering Team while adhering to Central European Norms.

  • Act as the technical liaison between MM AMD and 88 SAS.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders and MM AMD to ensure that technical specifications are comprehended and adhered to.
  • Partner with a European organization based in China to manage the CE certification of equipment handled by AMD from design to shipment to Europe.
  • Conduct research and analysis to discover new technologies and methodologies emerging from Asia for the MAE Manufacturing Engineering network.
  • Perform trials and tests to validate new processes and equipment prior to full-scale implementation.
  • Ensure compliance with the manufacturing engineering standards set by the MAS Europe Manufacturing Engineering Team.
  • Communicate the needs from AMD to 88 SAS.
  • Assist the MAE Manufacturing Engineering (MFE) team.
  • Support communication between the MAE MFE team and AMD.
  • Advise the MAE MFE team on technology selection.
  • Benchmark assembly processes against other factories and 88 SAS.

You will report directly to the Head of Manufacturing & Engineering. In China, you will have a functional reporting line to the Manufacturing and Engineering engineer. The factory primarily employs local Chinese workers, with very few Europeans, making proficiency in Chinese essential.

Candidate Profile:

  • Proficient in English and possess an intermediate level of Chinese are MANDATORY.
  • Technical expertise in production equipment.
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
  • Experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC).
  • Project management and leadership capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, along with adaptability and flexibility.
  • A mindset geared towards continuous learning.

Contractual Information

Compensation is set at €2764 (non-contractual allowance determined by decree and order, subject to variations based on the reference scale, mission location, and applicable deductions).
