Job Description

We are seeking a skilled commodity buyer to manage the procurement of diodes, transistors, MOSFET, and LED diodes. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the electronics industry and be able to develop and implement effective commodity strategies to drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage supplier relationships and commercial activities such as business reviews, RFQs, and roadmap discussions
  • Develop thorough commodity and business strategies to establish a competitive advantage and position the company for profitable growth
  • Evaluate technical and business risks, analyze data, and create mitigation plans/alternatives
  • Ensure continuity of supply by setting up long-term/short-term capacity planning with suppliers and partnering with logistics teams to schedule supply to meet component demand
  • Collaborate with R&D and Engineering teams to review initial specifications of parts and recommend sources to influence technical decisions in early program phases
  • Manage multiple projects in parallel and collaborate with cross-functional teams - Engineering, Quality, Logistics, and Finance
Basic Qualifications:
  • BS/BA degree
  • 5+ years work experience in electronics sourcing related field
  • Top-notch negotiation skills
  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrated ability to apply analytical techniques to problem-solving
  • Strategic thinker and result-oriented
  • Natural leadership competencies; influences others through style and subject matter expertise
  • Ability to balance business and technical objectives in decision-making
  • Excellent English communication/presentation skills
  • Ability to effectively work in a multicultural global business environment
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master degree in mechanical engineering/electrical engineering/supply chain management
  • Travel within China domestic as well as internationally up to 10% of the time
  • Experience in systems - SAP & Ariba
