Scientific Editor

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Scientific Editor to join our team at Cell Biomaterials journal. As an Editor, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of science communication and contributing to the success of our journal.

• Assessing submitted research papers to ensure they meet the journal's high standards
• Overseeing the peer review process to ensure fairness and accuracy
• Establishing relationships with researchers to identify and recruit exciting research studies and review material
• Representing the journal and Cell Press at scientific meetings and visits to research institutions
• Building effective working relationships with colleagues across Cell Press and beyond
• Contributing to broader Cell Press initiatives to shape the future of science communication

• 1-2 years of experience in a related field, preferably in editing or publishing
• Broad interests, love of science, and desire to learn
• Talent for clear communication and ability to work with diverse stakeholders
• Interest in digital communication and publishing trends
• Creativity, willingness to experiment, and desire to improve
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and focus
• Great interpersonal skills
• PhD in a relevant discipline; post-doctoral experience preferred
• Previous editorial experience would be welcomed, but training will be provided
