The global Information Technology (IT) Function at Corning is leading efforts to align IT and Business Strategy, leverage IT investments, and optimize end-to-end business processes and associated information integration technologies. Through these efforts, IT helps to improve the competitive position of Corning's businesses through IT-enabled processes. IT also delivers Information Technology applications, infrastructure, and project services in a cost-efficient manner to Corning worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the primary contact point for IT-related requirements, responding promptly to business users in the HF plant.
• Provide daily IT service by coordinating with Global/Regional IT resources.
• Respond to urgent manufacturing issues in a timely manner.
• Participate in important plant activities as the IT contact window.
• Perform maintenance on the MES system software and hardware, such as barcode systems and camera systems, when necessary.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Information Engineering, Software Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or related fields in Management.
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience in IT software and hardware maintenance, with programming skills preferred.
• Experience working with IT systems in a 24/7 manufacturing plant environment.

Essential Skills:

• Intellectual Asset Protection awareness is required.
• Excellent English and Chinese communication skills, including speaking, writing, and presentation.
• Manufacturing process knowledge is essential, with a preference for the glass industry.
• Proficiency in software development with tools such as Python, Java, C#, VB.NET, and ASP.NET is a plus.
• Ability to manipulate Relational Database Systems, including SQL statements and stored procedures.
• Champion performance excellence and focus on quality.
• Identify and mitigate risks.
• Fundamental project management awareness and capability.
