Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Elementary Education Instructor for an international educational institution. This is a full-time role that will commence in the upcoming academic year.

About the Institution

This international educational establishment, founded recently, is located in a vibrant urban area. It offers bilingual instruction to students from early grades through to the completion of secondary education. The curriculum integrates the national educational framework with elements from international standards to cater to the diverse academic needs of our students.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assessing curriculum requirements and collaborating with colleagues and management to select suitable courses for our elementary students;
  • Contributing to the formulation of comprehensive work schemes for all grade levels;
  • Participating in regular staff meetings focused on curriculum planning, student progress, and pedagogical strategies, while sharing best practices;
  • Engaging in the establishment and evaluation of educational targets for the elementary division;
  • Collaborating with fellow educators to create and implement effective educational policies;
  • Enhancing the learning experience for elementary students by providing a diverse and engaging range of extracurricular activities;
  • Assessing and grading student work, providing constructive feedback, and maintaining detailed records of individual student progress;
  • Exploring new subject areas, staying current with educational trends, and developing innovative curriculum resources;
  • Selecting and utilizing a variety of learning materials and tools;
  • Engaging in ongoing professional development through school meetings, training sessions, and performance reviews to enhance teaching quality;
  • Organizing and participating in extracurricular initiatives.

Qualifications

  • A relevant degree and teaching certification in elementary education, such as a B.Ed. or P.G.C.E., or equivalent qualifications;
  • A minimum of two years of teaching experience in an elementary school environment;
  • Experience in international teaching settings or with diverse student populations is preferred;
  • A proven record of providing exceptional pastoral care, prioritizing the well-being of all students;
  • Previous experience working with students for whom English is a second language.
