Key Responsibilities:
- Spearheading system architecture initiatives for MB.OS foundational system platforms from the perspective of R&D in China, encompassing high-performance computing, Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), telematics, and more.
- Analyzing insights from both domestic and international markets to establish R&D China’s technical research directions in Connectivity and Autonomous Driving, while providing expert guidance to R&D teams from a system architecture standpoint.
- Collaborating with global R&D teams to define architectural specifications for global platforms tailored to local requirements, and developing technology pre-research and product platforms that cater to the local market's needs.
- Overseeing updates to platform system architecture and optimizing local project system architecture, while participating in the architectural definition of the overall vehicle technology platform, delineating the boundaries and interactions of each system.
- Responsible for evaluating and fostering the professional development of the company’s technical talent on the path to expertise.
Qualifications:
- Education: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Automation, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or related fields; a Doctorate is preferred. Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree should have extensive relevant experience in a chief architect role.
- Experience: A minimum of 10 years in leadership roles within OEMs, internet firms, high-tech companies, or Tier 0.5/Tier 1 organizations, such as overall vehicle chief architect or company-level chief engineer. Proven track record in leading innovative technical platform development and making significant technical decisions that have been recognized within the industry. International experience in technology development and decision-making is advantageous, with familiarity with local suppliers in China.
- Specific Knowledge: Expertise in vehicle electrical functional architecture, physical architecture, and network communication principles. Proficient in system architecture development, functional safety, and Car IT security. Strong understanding of market technology trends in AD/Infotainment and the broader vehicle domain. Excellent report writing and technical documentation skills, along with strong external presentation capabilities. Proficient in English across listening, speaking, reading, and writing. A collaborative team player with a willingness to share knowledge, self-motivate, and positively influence and lead teams with a proactive and optimistic approach. Recognized within the industry with experience or contributions to automotive-related industry associations or regulatory bodies.
