Cummins Inc., a global leader in power generation and electrification, seeks a highly skilled Large Language Model Solutions Engineer to join its Data Science and Artificial Intelligence Department.


Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year.


Job Description


The Large Language Model Solutions Engineer will design and develop innovative solutions leveraging large language models to drive business growth and improve customer experience in the automotive and industrial domains.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Collect and curate domain-specific data to build high-quality datasets for large language model training and application.
  • Design and implement large language model-based solutions for intelligent customer service systems, automatic Q&A systems, and fault diagnosis systems.
  • Optimize the training and inference process of large language models to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and interpretability.
  • Evaluate and analyze the effectiveness of large language models in automotive and industrial applications, and improve and optimize them based on the results.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and reports on large language model research and development for automotive and industrial applications.

Required Skills and Qualifications


To be successful in this role, you will need:



  • Undergraduate or graduate degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with natural language processing (NLP) technologies, including word embedding, language modeling, text classification, and machine translation.
  • Experience with large language modeling (LLM) technologies, including Transformers, pre-trained models, and prompt engineering.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and experience with major open-source LLMs like ChatGLM and Llama.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to learn new technologies quickly and work independently.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
