Job Title: Principal Hardware Architect

Mercedes-Benz Group China Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled Principal Hardware Architect to join our Research & Development team in Shanghai, China.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a talented individual to lead the hardware development direction of our RD China Connectivity and Autonomous Driving team. As a Principal Hardware Architect, you will be responsible for providing technical solutions and supports for projects from a hardware architecture perspective.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain technical vision for MB.OS hardware platforms from RD China perspective.
  • Lead technical discussions with global RD teams to define proper hardware architecture specs for global platforms.
  • Responsible for platform hardware architecture updating and local project hardware architecture optimization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure hardware architecture meets business requirements.
  • Provide technical solutions and supports for projects from a hardware architecture perspective.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in electrical/electronic, automation, computer science, or similar field.
  • Over 5 years of relevant experience in hardware architecture platform development.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in hardware architecture platform development at OEMs or tier one suppliers.
  • Good understanding of SOA-based vehicle EE architecture.
  • Familiar with EE architecture-related development tool chains.
  • Self-responsibility, team player with excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Fluent English language skills.
  • German language skills a plus.
