Job Title: General Manager SMO JV SSCX

Location: Xi'an

Mode of Employment: Full-time only

Responsibilities:
  • Develop a clear understanding of SMO CHN strategy and effectively implement and fulfill SMO CN overall targets and strategic goals.
  • Take responsibility for SSCX business (profit and loss) to achieve economic success and attain established objectives.
  • Deliver high value to customers through high-quality products, fast delivery, and excellent service.
  • Drive productivity improvement and cost reduction through technical and managerial measures.
  • Compare SSCX targets and actual results to establish objectives and control measures, and forecast and ensure the course of SSCX business.
  • Lead and drive lean and digitalization transformation in the factory to become a forerunner of digitalization.
  • Develop, adapt, and implement optimal organizational forms, procedures, and processes to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Optimize the use of all resources, select sales channels, and ensure contracts are fulfilled to meet customer requirements and provide added value.
  • Work closely with SMO China BUs and other functions/teams to react quickly to market/customer demand.
  • Manage employees effectively, including attracting, developing, and retaining talents for sustainable company success.
  • Communicate openly and transparently with JV Partner, establish a good relationship, and gain a high level of trust.
  • Cooperate with local government to win their support and fulfill Siemens' social responsibility.
  • Maintain a proper setup and organization in the area of responsibility to carry out assigned responsibilities.Requirements:
    • Experienced manager in China (preferably in an OC/JV) with complex project and/or manufacturing experience. Solid rail industry experience and rail industry know-how is preferred.
    • At least 10 years of management experience in an organization/business with a total headcount of approximately 300 employees.
    • High level of social and leadership skills, with leadership responsibility for organizations of different functions/departments.
    • Business result orientation.
    • Innovative orientation.
    • Advanced English language skills.
