ADAS Parking System Verification Engineer

Job Description:

Fundamental Responsibilities:

  • Review and clarify the specifications of ADAS functions with the customer function owner and market function owners for China.
  • Facilitate requirement reviews with China and global partners to ensure the implementation of China-specific test content.
  • Communicate with global test managers to synchronize content and timelines.
  • Design test cases for corresponding functions and organize reviews with related partners.
  • Prioritize test content with a fully aligned test plan and assign test sets to the proper test platform.
  • Enable testing at the beginning of each release testing.
  • Define the reasons for failed tests and report test results to project teams and function owners to drive issue resolution.

Key Responsibilities:

Test content clarification:

  • Define test scopes in each release.
  • Work closely with China market function owners and global customer function owners to review and clarify China requirements in functions, primarily performance Autonomous Parking control.
  • Understand the expected function behavior, use cases, non-use cases, ODD, activation conditions, signals indicating performance status, and HMI.
  • Understand the effect chain, including ESP, indicators, Map, etc.
  • Understand China-specific test requirements, e.g., IVISTA, GB/T, CIASI, etc.

Test Cases Creation and Test Plan:

  • Break down requirements and design test cases in each release.
  • Answer test designers' questions about requirement and scenario understanding to ensure test designers can create precise and correct test cases.
  • Organize test cases reviews with vehicle testing platforms and digital testing platforms (SIL/HIL) to ensure implementability.
  • Prioritize test content with a fully aligned test plan and assign test sets to the proper test platform.

Test Enabling and Reporting:

  • Enable testing at the beginning of each release testing by conducting vehicle testing.
  • Define the reasons for failed tests and predefine if they are related to vehicle platforms, digital testing platforms, or software under testing.
  • Report test results to project teams and function owners to drive issue resolution.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or above in vehicle engineering, electrical engineering, robotics, computer science, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in vehicle EE, ADAS, CarIT-related areas.
  • Intensive knowledge of ADAS parking functions or ADAS parking systems.
  • Practical experience in ADAS parking system development or testing.
  • BASIC knowledge of project management and MS office skills. ISTQB is beneficial.
  • Veteran driver with an internal driver's license in OEM.
  • Chinese native speaker with fluent English language skills, German language beneficial.
  • Excellent communication and team working skills as part of a global team in a multi-cultural environment.
  • Knowledge in vehicle perception and control systems, including powertrain, ESP, and steering systems.
  • Excellent hands-on engineering mindset to solve issues with necessary pragmatism and creativity.
  • Independent and proactive working style, willingness to travel inside China and abroad to conduct system testing.
  • Familiar with using different measurement devices, e.g., CANoe, ABD, RTrange, etc.
