About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Global Language Solutions Specialist to join our team at Future Group Translation and Localization Services.

This is a fully remote position with a clear schedule, requiring full-time commitment (business and weekend hours) with immediate availability to start working after onboarding.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide accurate and complete interpretation services between non-English and English speakers during phone calls and video remote interpreting sessions.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to the Interpreter's code of conduct at all times.
  • Take detailed notes during calls and communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • Familiarize yourself with industry-specific vocabulary, particularly in the healthcare and medical sector.
  • Render messages accurately and completely, without adding, omitting, or substituting information.
  • Offer exceptional customer service and facilitate effective communication between Limited English Proficient individuals and clients.
Requirements
  • Native fluency in Cantonese/Mandarin and proficiency in English.
  • At least 1+ year of experience in over-the-phone interpretation in a reputable company.
  • Good knowledge of medical terminology is advantageous.
  • Awareness of legal terminology is also beneficial.
  • International certifications in the healthcare industry (e.g., PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA) can be an asset.
  • High school diploma in your native language.
  • Excellent emotional intelligence, cultural tolerance, and strong communication skills.
Technical Requirements
  • Dedicated high-speed internet connection with minimum download speed of 10 Mbps and upload speed of 3 Mbps.
  • Wired Ethernet port; Wi-Fi is not permitted.
  • Minimum Windows 10 operating system and dual-core processor (Intel Core i5 or superior).
  • 8 GB RAM memory and single device (computer or laptop) that can run required systems.
  • No external devices, such as cell phones or tablets, are allowed.
  • USB Headphones: Use a noise-cancelling, wired headset with a built-in microphone; Bluetooth headsets are not permitted.
