As a Government Relations Intern at Garrett - Advancing Motion, you will play a key role in shaping our company's relationships with government agencies and facilitating the implementation of key differentiated technology offerings.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to aid in researching and analyzing auto industry-related policies using primarily Chinese-language sources to provide updates and reports in English.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Researching and analyzing auto industry-related policies using primarily Chinese-language sources to provide updates and reports in English.
  • Aiding with written translations of internal and external materials between Chinese and English.
  • Supporting government meeting host and coordination.
  • Assisting administrative tasks such as internal purchase procedure, meeting minutes taking, arranging express delivery, and other duties.

Qualifications and Characteristics:

We are looking for students currently enrolled in bachelor's or master's degree programs in international relations, law, business, English, management, or related fields. The ideal candidate will be a native Chinese speaker with exceptional written command of the English language and strong, demonstrated research and analytical experience using Chinese-language sources.

Requirements:

  • Native Chinese speaker with exceptional written command of the English language.
  • Strong, demonstrated research and analytical experience using Chinese-language sources.
  • Knowledge and interest in PRC political and economic systems, auto industry policy preferred.
  • Dependable, flexible, able to take initiatives.
  • Three days a week in the office. A minimum of six months commitment is preferred.
