Job Summary

SBM Offshore is seeking a skilled Dimensional Inspector to join our team in China. As a Dimensional Inspector, you will be responsible for performing dimensional and visual inspections on components, as well as preparing detailed inspection reports and maintaining files of inspection documents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform dimensional and visual inspections on components to ensure compliance with specifications and regulations.
  • Conduct source inspections at other facilities as required to ensure quality and consistency.
  • Prepare detailed inspection reports and maintain files of inspection documents to ensure accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Review inspection records received for compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain inspection and measuring equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Prepare and coordinate Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) for nonconforming parts to ensure prompt resolution.
  • Perform other work-related tasks as assigned to support the team and achieve business objectives.
  • Comply with all Company and HSE procedures and policies to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.

Requirements

  • Comply with all departmental rules and regulations to ensure a smooth and efficient work process.
  • Maintain measurement and test equipment as required to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Ability to use a wide variety of measurement and test equipment to perform inspections and tests.
  • Knowledge in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, material specifications, and requirements to ensure accurate and compliant inspections.
  • Possess knowledge of precision measuring equipment to ensure accurate and reliable measurements.
  • Attention to details is a must to ensure accurate and compliant inspections.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and ability to learn different software programs to support business operations.
  • Effective verbal and non-verbal communication skills to ensure clear and concise communication with team members and stakeholders.
  • High School diploma or equivalent is required, previous inspection experience is preferred.
