We support our students to understand the world, interact with other cultures, and become truly global citizens. HD Ningbo serves students from Kindergarten through to Year 12. Each homeroom is supported by one national teacher and one international teacher, all Kindergarten and Primary classes benefit from a bilingual learning facilitator as part of our "Tight Three" model of class management, unique to HD Schools.

Job Responsibilities
  • • Plan, prepare, and deliver schemes of work in accordance with the academic programs set out by the school, facilitating active learning experiences for all children.
    • Assess and maintain records of children's progress in learning, using this information to ensure each child has the opportunity to succeed.
    • Manage the classroom environment so it is a stimulating, well-resourced, and orderly space that supports and encourages learning.
    • Develop a thorough understanding of the purpose and aims of HD Ningbo School's educational ethos.
    • Set high expectations that inspire, motivate, and challenge pupils.
    • Use relevant technology to support learning, understanding, and development.
    • Identify and select instructional resources and methods to meet the children's varying needs.
    • Evaluate learning experiences and outcomes for children's continual improvement.
    • Provide meaningful feedback and assessment for learning in line with HD Ningbo policies.
    • Develop a personalized bi-lingual curriculum combining international and Chinese approaches.

Roles and Responsibilities - Communication and Co-operation
  • • Work co-operatively and supportively with all members of staff.
    • Share information, ideas, and resources with colleagues.
    • Develop supportive and productive relationships with parents.
    • Maintain accurate and complete records of children's development.
    • Participate in departmental, school-based, and parental meetings.
    • Share assessment data and ensure it is appropriately archived.
    • Prepare required reports on children and their activities.
    • Participate in the supervisory duties shared by all members of staff.
    • Participate in the co-curricular life of the school.
    • Play a full part in the corporate life of the School.
    • Support the school's image and profile in the community.

Salary and Benefits

The salary range is from $255,000 to $438,000 per year based on experience and qualifications. We offer comprehensive medical cover for teachers, spouses, and dependents, annual flights for teachers, spouses, and dependents, housing allowance, relocation allowance, and full remission for tuition fees of staff children in accordance with HD schools policies. Requirements
  • • A good degree from an established university
    • PGCE/QTS or equivalent
    • 2 or more years of full-time, school-based teaching experience (required)
    • Excellent working knowledge of curricula
    • Breadth of subject knowledge across the curriculum
    • Experience of working with children who have English as an additional language (desirable)
    • Experience of working in the independent sector (desirable)
