Key Responsibilities:- Serve as a pivotal connection between various teams for crucial component selection during the New Product Introduction (NPI) phase; identify areas for redesign and spearhead related initiatives.
- Formulate and execute a comprehensive sourcing strategy for HARMAN commodities, taking into account business needs, supply chain efficiency, market trends, and new technological advancements.
- Remain informed about market and industry developments to deliver insightful recommendations to the organization.
- Lead targeted procurement projects aimed at refining the procurement process and improving results.
- Establish uniform commercial terms and conditions.
- Conduct effective negotiations with suppliers and implement strategies for cost reduction to meet annual savings goals.
- Build and maintain robust relationships with senior-level suppliers.
- Implement a supplier rationalization strategy to enhance category influence.
- Manage the bidding and quoting process during NPI execution.
- Set clear objectives, develop enhancement strategies, conduct business evaluations, and provide monthly updates pertinent to your responsibilities.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain, Sourcing, and Value Engineering teams to uncover potential efficiency improvements and cost-saving opportunities.
