Wealth and Personal Banking (WPB)

Wealth and Personal Banking represents our global initiative that merges Retail Banking with Wealth Management, alongside Global Private Banking, aiming to establish a comprehensive wealth management service with substantial assets under management. Our dedicated professionals cater to millions of clients globally, covering a wide range of private wealth needs, from personal banking for individuals and families to services for business owners, investors, and ultra-high-net-worth clients. We offer a variety of products and services tailored to our customers' requirements, including bank accounts, credit cards, personal loans, mortgages, asset management, insurance, and private banking solutions.

We are currently looking for a skilled professional to enhance our team.

In this position, you will:

Business Impact:

1. Foster an environment where the broader Branch team optimizes performance to meet RBWM business goals.

2. Achieve the service quality standards by meeting established SLAs.

3. Provide value-added products and services based on customer needs, ensuring customers understand these offerings before referring them to sales personnel for fulfillment.

4. Refer existing clients to other propositions, cross-sell additional simple RBWM products and services, and direct to specialized areas when necessary.

5. Support cross-selling initiatives through customer referrals.

6. Exhibit excellent banking and transactional knowledge, promoting self-service and digital channel capabilities where applicable.

Customer Engagement:

1. Meet customer expectations regarding efficiency, accuracy, timeliness, and professionalism, whether in-branch or via telephone.

2. Oversee the customer journey for any simple products sold or complex referrals made as appropriate.

3. Generate new income opportunities through initiatives that foster the development of new and existing customer relationships.

4. Ensure fair outcomes for our customers and maintain conduct that supports the orderly and transparent operation of financial markets.

Leadership & Collaboration:

1. Individuals are accountable for their effectiveness, development, and results. Specialists or Subject Matter Experts are expected to understand Group strategy and contribute as technical/professional specialists in their fields.

2. Support the achievement of HSBC's vision, values, goals, and culture through personal behavior, actions, and decision-making.

3. Take personal responsibility for understanding and agreeing on performance expectations, completing necessary mandatory training, and developing the capabilities needed to excel in the role.

4. Contribute to team development and success by sharing knowledge and best practices, collaborating with others to create a productive, diverse, and supportive work environment.

Operational Effectiveness & Compliance:

1. Individuals are responsible for their own effectiveness, development, and results. Specialists or Subject Matter Experts are expected to understand Group strategy and contribute as technical/professional specialists in their fields.

2. Propose ideas and participate in actions that enhance customer service, quality, or the collaboration between teams and individuals.

3. Adhere to HSBC policies, procedures, and control requirements relevant to daily operations, exceptional activities, and projects, promptly raising any concerns about actual or potential issues in line with reporting and escalation procedures.

4. Continuously monitor and gather information to evaluate potential impacts and identify risks and opportunities for the business.

5. Apply policies, procedures, practices, and standards to assigned tasks, taking responsibility for actions to ensure high-quality outcomes, effective risk management, and regulatory compliance.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, candidates should meet the following criteria:

1. Knowledge & Experience:

a) Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

b) At least half a year of experience in HSBC RBWM roles.

c) Strong communication, client focus, and influencing skills.

d) Solid understanding of HSBC products and services, particularly digital channels.

e) High potential for transitioning into a sales role within half a year.

f) Results-driven and capable of working under pressure.

g) Familiarity with local regulatory and licensing requirements.

h) Clear understanding of collaboration with Compliance, Credit & Risk, and Internal Control to ensure a balanced risk operating environment.

i) Proficient communication skills in English and local languages.

2. Accreditations:

a) Attain necessary professional and regulatory qualifications as required by the market.

b) Meet any internal standards as required by HSBC.
