Laundry Attendant

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Laundry Attendant to join our team at Marriott International. As a Laundry Attendant, you will be responsible for receiving, documenting, and separating soiled linens, terry, uniforms, and/or clothing. You will identify stained or damaged items and operate and monitor washing, dry cleaning, and drying machinery, including adding chemicals and cleaning lint traps.

Key Responsibilities

• Apply treatment to stained items
• Press and fold cleaned articles
• Hand wash garments
• Respond to guest requests for laundry/dry cleaning, minor repair, and pressing
• Maintain records of laundered items and uniforms distributed and returned
• Deliver laundry/dry cleaning to guests and employees

Requirements

• Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures
• Report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries
• Complete safety training and certifications
• Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
• Protect company assets
• Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards
• Anticipate and address guests' service needs
• Thank guests with genuine appreciation
• Speak with others using clear and professional language
• Answer telephones using appropriate etiquette
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others
• Listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees
• Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards
• Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight
• Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping
• Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance
• Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time
