About the Role

We are looking for a motivated individual who is driven by their curiosity and is willing to grow.

In this role, the candidate will provide design and test expertise in the Electro-Magnetic Compliance (EMC) area to various product development groups. Activities will include working with a diverse range of product groups including, Wireless Speakers, Wireless Headsets, and Audio for Video.

Responsibilities

  • Working upfront with design engineer teams to review and provide feedback on proposed designs during schematic and layout reviews.
  • Working closely with the design teams to communicate the product's EMC specifications and regulatory and internal requirements.
  • Coordinating and conducting EMC testing at multiple stages during product development to ensure EMC product compliance.
  • Providing test reports and communications to help generate corrective actions.
  • Providing regular status updates to project teams
  • Working with EMC and design engineers on troubleshooting efforts
  • Improving the EMC design and performance
  • Continuously looking for ways to improve existing test methods and lab processes, as well as devise new test methods and develop written procedures where needed.
  • Supporting EMC accreditation and surveillance audit testing

This is a 'hands-on' position that offers a strong opportunity to learn EMC design and theory and will require the person to collaborate with several different engineering teams, from advanced development to product release.

Requirements

  • EMC design and test experience in fast-paced, client-focused environment
  • Strong interest in working in the EMC field.
  • Fluent in English and proficient in written English are required.
  • Strong knowledge of basic electronics
  • Experience with electronic measurement.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Experience with soldering of electronic components including SMD parts.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word applications
  • Ability to work independently.

Desirable Experience

  • Strong understanding of amplifier technology is a plus.
  • Experience with any facet of EMC, RF, or audio design is a plus.
