Backend Developer for SAP Datasphere Data Catalog Service

We're looking for a talented Backend Developer to join our SAP Datasphere Data Catalog Service team in Xian.

At SAP, we enable data professionals to deliver seamless and scalable access to mission-critical business data. Our comprehensive data service, SAP Datasphere, is built on SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP) and enables every data professional to easily distribute authoritative business data with business context and logic preserved across the data landscape.

As a Backend Developer on our team, you will work on backend development tasks and contribute to the development of our Data Catalog service. You will be part of a collaborative team environment with a strong focus on learning and development, recognition for your individual contributions, and a variety of benefit options for you to choose from.

What you'll do:

  • Develop backend services for our Data Catalog service using modern cloud application development techniques and technologies.
  • Work with our team to design and implement scalable and efficient backend solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration with other services and applications.

What you bring:

  • Strong development experience in one or more major programming languages like JavaScript, Golang, Java, Python, and experience in Object-oriented programming concepts and design.
  • Good English language skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly communicate ideas and concepts.

Preferred skills:

  • Good understanding of modern cloud application development.
  • Experience in databases like MySQL, SAP HANA, PostgreSQL, and other cloud-based data storage solutions.

Nice to have:

  • Knowledge and experience with Node.js and server-side application development in JavaScript.
  • Experience with TypeScript and Express framework.
