Senior Technician

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Senior Technician to join our team in Production Support. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the smooth operation of our production lines.

• Performing routine maintenance and preventative tasks to ensure equipment is functioning optimally.
  
• Assisting senior engineers with corrective maintenance as needed.
  
• Disassembling, cleaning, and rebuilding kits as part of kit management quality.
  
• Learns and applies basic diagnostic techniques and the use of documentation and test equipment with assistance from senior engineers.
  
• Diagnosing and resolving basic technical problems efficiently.
  
• Striving to perform established Best Known Methods (BKMs) and follow all Intellectual Property (IP) guidelines.
  
• Developing strong customer service skills and representing Applied Materials professionally at all times.
  
• Maintaining a safe working environment by adhering to all safety procedures and demonstrating a commitment to safety as a core value.

• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in a relevant field such as Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science.
  
• A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a related field with a focus on technical support and maintenance.
  
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  
• Demonstrated knowledge of computer systems, networks, and software applications.
  
• Ability to distinguish between colors and work comfortably in an environment with moderate noise levels.
  
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a professional demeanor.
  
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
  
• Familiarity with personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to safety protocols.
  
• Relocation Eligible: Yes; Travel: Yes, up to 20% of the time.
