Job Description

Position Overview:

Vantiva is seeking skilled professionals in supply chain or manufacturing to join our dynamic Supplier Focus Team (SFT) as a Production Planner. This role is essential for optimizing our operations and ensuring efficient production processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct weekly assessments of customer demand fluctuations against standard component lead times.
  • Collaborate with the SFT leader to review changes in supply requests and lead times, subsequently releasing weekly forecasts to our manufacturing partners.
  • Engage regularly with manufacturing partners to evaluate material readiness and the Manufacturing Request Plan, identifying constraints and implementing actions to enhance finished goods shipments.
  • Facilitate consistent alignment with manufacturing partners to guarantee timely purchase order placements for materials and confirm deliveries in line with demand forecasts.
  • Execute weekly capacity evaluations in conjunction with the Technical Manufacturing manager.
  • Assist the New Product Introduction manager in pinpointing supply constraints based on the latest material availability and capacity insights.
  • Develop and refine the production plan to ensure Shipment Confirmation commitments to internal stakeholders on a weekly basis.
  • Identify and monitor the resolution of critical material constraints in collaboration with internal material buyers and sourcing teams.
  • Oversee logistics status, including shipping instruction releases and booking confirmations, and drive resolutions with the logistics team in case of discrepancies.
  • Analyze daily production output reports to detect potential issues.
  • Optimize allocation of common materials to maximize finished goods shipments.
  • Conduct supply simulations and what-if analyses for various pull-in and decommit scenarios.
  • Track key performance indicators related to factory operations, such as on-time delivery, to support Quarterly Business reviews.
  • Participate in evaluations of Out of Process costs, including Storage, Component Spot Buy, and Excess & Obsolete.

Qualifications:

Essential Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Materials Management, or Engineering.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years in the electronic manufacturing sector.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with JIRA, PowerBI, and Kinaxis is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Language Proficiency: Business-level English and conversational Mandarin are required; proficiency in additional languages such as Vietnamese, Indonesian, Spanish, or French is a plus.
