Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in technology-related sales or account management.
  • OR a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field, accompanied by 4+ years of experience in technology-related sales or account management.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in technology-related sales or account management.
  • OR a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or a related field, along with 6+ years of experience in technology-related sales or account management.
  • OR a Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA), Information Technology, or a related field, with 3+ years of experience in technology-related sales or account management.
  • 4+ years of experience in solution or services sales.

Responsibilities

  • Engage in discussions with clients tailored to their industry, showcasing how various workloads can facilitate digital transformation relevant to their sector, ultimately converting opportunities into successful deals. Initiate dialogues regarding digital transformation across one or more solution areas, collaborating with partners and services.
  • Work alongside team members to uncover new opportunities. Propel incremental revenue growth through personal initiatives (e.g., portfolio analysis) or internal resources (e.g., Marketing). Collaborate with account teams, partners, or services to identify and qualify new opportunities.
  • Recognize opportunities to enhance consumption and expand business with current clients by initiating discussions, providing demonstrations or quotes, and collaborating with partners or internal teams.
  • Identify client business needs and assess technology readiness. Contribute to the formulation of solutions in partnership with internal teams, partners, and services. Propose prioritized solutions that align with client requirements and articulate the business value of these solutions.
  • Proactively develop a mapping of external stakeholders. Collaborate with account teams to engage senior business decision-makers within the client's or partner's organization.
  • Implement strategies to expedite deal closures. Provide insights on strategies to drive and finalize prioritized opportunities. Mentor less experienced team members in executing deal plans and implement close plans to mitigate risks and ensure predictable deal closures.

Scaling and Collaboration

  • Collaborate with One Commercial Partner (OCP) and a network of partners to cross-sell and up-sell solutions. Identify new partners through research and discussions on customer scenarios.
  • Utilize the orchestration model to enhance relationships with internal stakeholders and partners, navigating the Microsoft organization to maximize customer impact.

Technical Expertise

  • Lead discussions and organize events within Microsoft. Mentor colleagues and develop strategies for sharing best practices across subsidiaries.
  • Initiate conversations with potential customers and partners at events to broaden the external network. Serve as a subject matter expert in one or more solution areas.
  • Collaborate with global black belts to analyze competitor offerings and implement strategies to position Microsoft favorably in customer communications.

Sales Excellence

  • Work with partners and resources to leverage customer insights and industry knowledge. Explore business and emerging opportunities to optimize the portfolio and support customer innovation.
  • Review feedback reports and coach others to ensure customer satisfaction, implementing recovery action plans to enhance the overall client experience.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders in business planning and meetings to review and strategize for accounts within the assigned territory.
  • Collaborate with the extended sales team, partners, and marketing to conduct business analysis and identify high-potential customers.
  • Manage the complete business process for the assigned territory, conducting account forecasting and developing a strategic portfolio and territory plan.
  • Complete necessary training and obtain relevant product and role certifications aligned with the responsibilities of the position.
