The China Sales Team at Nova Ltd. is in search of a Technical Manager to enhance our operations in the Shanghai region.

As a member of the China Sales Team, you will report directly to the Country Manager:

· The MMD Technical Manager is responsible for supporting both pre-sales and post-sales initiatives for MMD products across various accounts in China. This role involves cultivating and sustaining direct technical relationships with key customers, particularly those of high strategic value. You will oversee project management and marketing efforts for our Materials Metrology products.

· Collaborating with marketing stakeholders at the division headquarters, the MMD Technical Manager will tailor our product offerings to meet customer needs. You will strategize with our distributors in China to implement effective sales strategies and achieve the company's business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze the competitive landscape and market dynamics; ensure profitability while facilitating successful transactions with distributors and assisting them in penetrating strategic accounts.
  • Promote our Materials Metrology products to key customers in China, effectively communicating the company's value proposition.
  • Engage with various internal stakeholders to implement strategies that align with business objectives and revenue targets. Manage distributor relationships and their sales teams to meet the company's goals, while generating and maintaining precise Account and Opportunity plans.
  • Provide technical guidance on business decisions and oversee the execution of specific projects. Manage distributor resources and lead projects to successful outcomes, fostering technical relationships with distributor service and application teams.
  • Establish strong, direct connections with key customer stakeholders at both senior and mid-management levels. Strategically identify and address customer challenges while promoting the company's product values.
  • Effectively communicate with management and cross-functional teams, catering to both technical and non-technical audiences. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure our distributors deliver the highest level of customer service.
  • Coordinate with the MMD marketing department to customize presentations for marketing or technical review sessions with customers. Lead and facilitate these pre-sales activities.
  • Provide weekly updates to the Country Manager/Sales VP regarding customer activities, competitive insights, and revenue progress.
  • Conduct monthly reviews and relay essential information to MMD headquarters.
  • Support pre-sales initiatives and prioritize MMD projects.
  • Collaborate with the application team to explore and develop new applications that create business opportunities. Conduct technical review meetings and seminars with customers to enhance visibility for our products and solutions.

Qualifications for Success:

To excel in this role, you should possess a deep understanding of the competitive landscape and market trends, as well as the ability to identify the needs of agents and sales teams. Experience in a leadership capacity while managing customer relationships and sales teams will be advantageous.


• Local citizen of China


• Approximately 8 years of experience in semiconductor processes, applications, technical roles, or technical marketing, particularly in the front-end semiconductor industry, with a preference for experience in the metrology segment.


• Proficient in front-end semiconductor manufacturing processes.


• Demonstrated leadership experience.


• Strong client relationship management skills or the ability to cultivate such relationships.


• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline or higher, preferably in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or Physics.
