Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced HSSE Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with HSE legislation, implementing and improving HSE management systems, and collaborating with stakeholders to achieve HSE objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with Corporate/Regional HS&E to build a strong culture of health, safety, and environment within CSA Group.
• Ensure compliance with HSE legislation and implement HSE management systems.
• Support the implementation of HSE activities and ensure continuous compliance with established internal procedures.
• Take actions to achieve HSE objectives and KPIs.
• Work with managers and staff to identify hazards and environmental aspects, assess risk, and establish controls.
• Report hazards, near misses, and incidents, and perform incident investigations.
• Coordinate and assist with external and internal audits.
• Analyze the root cause of non-conformances and incidents, and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
• Coordinate and deliver HSE training and meetings to site employees.
• Report on progress toward achieving objectives and addressing non-conformances.
• Coordinate with contractors and ensure the ERP is up to date.
• Coordinate HSE inspections and monitor the correct use of V-EHS.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as engineering or environmental science.
• 3-5 years of experience in HSE-related roles.
• Familiarity with HSE regulatory requirements and ISO standards.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with operational management of occupational health, safety, and environment needs.
