Actuarial Associate

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Actuarial Associate to join our team at Reinsurance Group of America. As a key member of our actuarial team, you will be responsible for providing actuarial support and expertise to our business units.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with the Data Administration and Pricing team to complete regular and ad-hoc experience studies, ensuring that all work is properly documented and compliant with regulatory requirements.
- Support the implementation of IFRS 17 and provide valuable suggestions for monitoring experience, setting actuarial assumptions, and managing in-force business to meet the needs of internal and external clients.
- Develop, maintain, and review actuarial models, methods, and assumptions to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Support US/China Statutory, Tax, and GAAP valuation work for assigned business and provide projections for financial planning and analysis.
- Communicate financial analytics and results to stakeholders, highlighting major drivers of variance.
- Support quarterly and annual filings and perform valuation work and ad-hoc department projects as needed.
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance and perform other duties as required.
- ASA of SOA or equivalent.
- 4 to 7 years of actuarial work experience.
- Reinsurance experience is an asset.
- Knowledge and familiarity with experience study and IFRS 17 is highly preferred.
- Judgment in making practical, financially sound decisions.
- Effective organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to perform under pressure.
- Excellent communications skills, with fluency in both Chinese and English.
- Advanced SQL, Excel, Word, and Visual Basic skills.
