We are seeking a highly experienced and qualified Deputy Principal to join our international school in Shanghai. This is a full-time position that requires a strong academic background and leadership skills.

Job Summary

The Deputy Principal will be responsible for overseeing academic matters and collaborating with Chinese principals to achieve our mission of preparing Chinese students for prestigious international universities.

  • Administration of teaching affairs related to international courses for high school sector
  • Co-work on curriculum development
  • Development of fusion courses, including British/American culture and contemporary approaches to learning
  • Designing and overseeing teacher's PD programmes
  • Coordinating school's international affairs, including student exchange, foreign expert visit, and transnational academic cooperation
  • Working together with colleagues in the UK and US
  • Providing 60 teaching periods a month

Requirements

  • Familiarity with UK/USA education system, IGCSE and A-level, IB, AP curriculum
  • Experience of senior administration within US/UK schools (at least 10 years)
  • Principal/head teacher experience at one or multiple well-established US/UK schools is highly desired
  • Knowledge of Chinese education system (desirable)
  • Working experience in China (desirable)
