Calix is a leading provider of cloud and appliance-based platforms and managed services for broadband service providers. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Solutions Test Engineer to join our team in Nanjing, China.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for validating telecommunications equipment functions, including data, voice, and video services, as well as applications on access network products. This will involve working with Calix management to plan project details, create and maintain test environments, and collaborating with 3rd party vendors to perform tests and resolve issues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute verification of solution test strategy and test plans individually and as part of a team.
  • Develop comprehensive solution test cases and environments.
  • Work with team to automate necessary cases to improve test coverage and robustness.
  • Collaborate with customer service groups to reproduce and identify problems.
  • Work with local and remote test engineers to support test automation.
  • Write clear and concise problem descriptions and test reports.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree and above in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Communication Engineering, or Software Test Engineering.
  • 6+ years' experience in telecommunications development or software test environment.
  • Strong knowledge in the Layer-2 xPON ONU products testing, including control plane and data plane.
  • Experience in popular container and technologies, and good troubleshooting skills through different cloud API.
  • Strong verbal and written English skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong data communications knowledge.
  • Strong knowledge of networking, telephony, or video services.
  • Test automation and script expertise.
