The Role: We are in search of a highly skilled and motivated Financial Controller to join our finance team in China.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all financial operations within China, with potential expansion to additional countries in the East Asia region.
  • Lead and manage the local accounting support team.
  • Maintain and manage all local and corporate general ledgers.
  • Ensure compliance with tax and regulatory reporting requirements presented to local authorities.
  • Supervise financial statement audits and coordinate with external auditors.
  • Conduct expense analysis comparing actuals to budget, month-over-month, and annual trends.
  • Prepare monthly and annual expense forecasts and budgets.
  • Manage cash flows and monthly billing processes to the US corporate office.
  • Assist the country General Manager with financial analysis and reviews of global programs.
  • Prepare insightful financial analysis reports for management review.
  • Collaborate with local Human Resources to manage compensation analyses.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
  • Strong understanding of local accounting principles and US GAAP.
  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience is essential.
  • Excellent proficiency in oral and written English is mandatory.
  • Self-motivated individual who takes initiative with minimal supervision.
  • Able to handle multiple projects concurrently.
  • Experience in an international workforce culture is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with Workday general ledger and human resource systems is a plus.
  • CPA or local equivalent certification is preferred.
