About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced software engineer to lead our software development efforts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software engineering, machine learning, and edge AI, with a proven track record of delivering complex software projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain software architecture designs and high-level designs with a focus on reusability.
  • Review and translate product requirements into software requirements.
  • Lead the development of new processes, innovations, and IP patenting.
  • Escalate major issues to team leaders that impact program schedule, cost, and quality.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in mathematics, electronics, software, communication, or automation.
  • Experience in sensor algorithm development for environmental awareness, indoor locating, distance measurements, head tracking, body, and/or gesture detection.
  • Domain knowledge in machine learning and edge AI for sensor applications.
  • 8+ years of consumer electrical product engineering and development experience with a software engineering mindset.
  • Familiarity with popular code repository management tools like Git, SVN, and Fossil.
  • Hands-on experience with C++ programming language and software development in Linux environments.
  • Familiarity with electronic schematic reading and ability to do software bring-up on product PCBA according to corresponding hardware design.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, including technical documentation using Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work in a team and good knowledge of spoken and written English.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
