About the Role
We invite applications for a Professor/Senior Associate Professor position in the Department of Educational Studies within the Academy of Future Education (AoFE). The successful candidate will join a vibrant community of scholars who are passionate about shaping the future of education.
The AoFE is an innovative ecosystem that focuses on research, exploration, support, and dissemination of philosophy and best practices for future education. Our core mission is to impact education innovation and reform in China and beyond through various projects and programmes.
The Department of Educational Studies is one of four units that make up the AoFE. We offer undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in education, as well as supervision of doctoral students. Our research foci include lifelong education and professional development, child development and family education, student-centered education and educational experiences, managing and leading change towards future education, technology-driven education innovation, and cooperative and work-integrated education.
Your Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Teach postgraduate-level modules in English as a Medium of Instruction (EMI) context
- Conduct impactful research and produce publications in top-tier journals
- Supervise postgraduate students' theses and dissertations
- Provide administrative services to the department, school, and university
- Engage in extra-curricular activities for students, staff, and disciplines as expected
Your Qualifications and Experience
To be considered for this position, you should have:
- A terminal degree (e.g., PhD, EdD) from a wide range of areas related to future education perspectives
- Fluent English language skills
- A significant track record of innovative teaching, curriculum development, and research in relevant fields
- Strong connections with scholars and practitioners in the field, including international networks
- An ability to work in a diverse and dynamic environment
Career Development and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary, ranging from RMB 450,000 to RMB 600,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience. Other benefits include:
