IT Specialist

Corning is a leading technology company that is shaping the future of industries and the world we live in. We are seeking an IT Specialist to join our team and contribute to our mission of innovation and progress.

The IT Specialist will be responsible for providing daily IT services, coordinating with global and regional IT resources, and responding to urgent manufacturing issues. They will also participate in important plant activities and perform maintenance on the MES system software and hardware.

To be successful in this role, the IT Specialist must have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Engineering, or a related field, and at least 3 years of experience in IT software and hardware maintenance. They must also be proficient in programming languages such as Python, Java, and C#, and have experience working with IT systems in a 24/7 manufacturing plant environment.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication and troubleshooting skills, be able to effectively prioritize and multitask, and have a strong understanding of manufacturing processes and glass industry knowledge. They will also be able to champion performance excellence and focus on quality, identify and mitigate risks, and have fundamental project management awareness and capability.
