Barco is seeking a highly skilled C++ Developer to join our dynamic project team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in enhancing our cutting-edge software suite within the healthcare industry.

Our software portfolio is expanding rapidly, and we need your expertise to cater to healthcare radiological imaging centers. You will contribute significantly to managing the quality and utilization of Barco monitors installed globally, while also supporting IT professionals working within these centers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop user-facing elements (Qt) and client-side business logic.
  • Write reusable, testable, efficient, and maintainable code and write tests for your code.
  • Contribute to our user-facing desktop application, which controls and audits our healthcare displays.
  • Analysis and refinement together with the team and the product owner.
  • Work in an international environment and team setting.
  • Provide detailed and constructive design and code reviews.
Your Profile:
  • Hands-on C++ object-oriented development experience.
  • Experience with application development for desktops (mainly Windows OS).
  • Ability to deliver an easy-to-deploy application.
  • Possess a skill set that spans the full development cycle from analysis, design, implementation, and verification.
  • Understanding of asynchronous programming to integrate with devices (displays, sensors,...).
  • Good analytical skills and an eye for detail and quality.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Good knowledge of spoken and written English.
  • Ability to work in close collaboration with fellow developers, our product owner, and product managers and like to share your ideas and knowledge.
  • Experience and understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
  • Think from a user perspective and keep the UI simple and intuitive to use.
A Plus:
  • Experience with Qt is a big plus.
  • Experience and affinity with UI and UX design is a plus but not the focus.
