Objective of the Role

ASML, a prominent player in the semiconductor lithography sector, is on the lookout for a Lead Engineer for its repair facility. The primary aim of this center is to reduce waste, encourage material reuse, and contribute to the circular economy. The lead engineer is vital in diagnosing issues with defective components and developing effective repair solutions.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will focus on restoring damaged service components and confirming their operational status after repairs. Working in tandem with the lead engineer, you will analyze failure causes, establish repair techniques, and validate the functionality of repaired items.

Key tasks include:

  • Conducting initial inspections and evaluating the repair potential of materials
  • Performing root cause analysis on failures and selecting optimal repair strategies and functionality assessments
  • Identifying required repair parts and collaborating with the sourcing team for procurement
  • Documenting resolution processes and sharing findings
  • Ensuring the operational integrity of repaired components in line with specifications
  • Following safe repair protocols in accordance with EHS standards

Qualifications and Experience

Possession of a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical field, with a focus on electronics, mechatronics, or optics.

Experience:

  • Over 3 years of experience in service, maintenance, or repair engineering within a high-tech industry
  • Expertise in repairing modules or components at a granular level
  • Strong project management skills
