Seeking a highly skilled Emulsion Polymerization Expert to lead process development and localization of acrylic and SBR products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in emulsion polymerization and experience in product localization and process optimization.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead acrylic and SBR product localization and transfer process to local plants via process and recipe adjustment per local plant conditions
  • Process optimization and plant productivity improvement, working closely with R&D and plant process engineers
  • New product scale-up to successful plant scale production
  • Raw material qualification and collaboration with commercial and supply teams to overcome unique raw material shortages
  • Troubleshooting and lab synthesis experiments to validate process adjustments and performance improvements
  • Support to application and technical services teams to address customer complaints and quality issues
  • Contribution to new product development, including recipe design and synthesis experiments against agreed performance targets

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Polymers, or relevant major
  • Minimum 3 years R&D and/or manufacture hands-on experience in emulsion polymerization, preferably in SA and SBR chemistry
  • Previous working experience in a multinational company in a related application area in coatings, adhesives, specialty binders, and construction
  • Patience, resilience, strong willingness to learn, and ability to learn new things
  • Strong logic thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Good English communication and written skills
