Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Full-stack Software Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our software development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining high-quality software applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute scripts based on specifications and standards
  • Document and execute simple software components of larger architectures
  • Contribute to portions of value stream codebase
  • Build, code, test, and maintain high-quality software
  • Participate in Agile sprints and ceremonies, supporting rapid iteration and development
  • Translate user requirements into software requirements
  • Design, develop, test, deliver, maintain, and improve business applications as a member of a team, working across full-stack through the entire software development lifecycle

Requirements

  • Familiarity with agile and DevOps principles, test-driven development, continuous integration, and other approaches to accelerate the delivery of new features
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle
  • Understanding of how technology supports Manulife business strategy
  • Needs classroom training
  • Needs mentoring from competent colleagues
  • Needs recipes for tasks
  • Is pointed in the direction of relevant trainings by his or her colleagues
  • Most interpersonal skills meet requirements
