Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the month-end closing process and ensure reconciliations are completed within established deadlines and guidelines.
  • Guarantee that accounting records are meticulously maintained in preparation for independent audits.
  • Keep comprehensive and up-to-date documentation of internal control systems.
  • Ensure all processes and decisions comply with IQVIA SOPs and local legal standards.
  • Where necessary, facilitate effective communication with all business partners and assist them in financial decision-making as needed.
  • Offer suggestions to enhance existing processes and financial systems, proposing alternatives when suitable.
  • Maintain a robust understanding of technical accounting principles.
  • Engage in or oversee finance-related projects as required.
  • Ensure timely completion of detailed account reconciliations and follow up on unresolved items for designated tasks.
  • May develop, implement, and/or maintain one or more accounting modules (Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, General Ledger).
  • May determine methods and procedures for new assignments and provide guidance to junior staff.
  • May take overall responsibility for smaller legal entities or regional tasks.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in accounting.
  • Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Familiarity with PeopleSoft Finance modules.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong technical accounting skills.
  • Excellent analytical and numerical abilities.
  • Capability to identify financial challenges and implement corrective actions.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with colleagues, supervisors, and clients.
