Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician II to join our hotel engineering team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, troubleshooting and repairing equipment, and ensuring the overall upkeep of our facilities.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in general maintenance, with experience in areas such as plumbing, electrical work, and carpentry. You will be expected to work independently, using your knowledge and skills to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently. Your ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and guests is essential, as is your commitment to maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning and lubricating equipment, inspecting tools and machinery, and carrying out repairs as needed.
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
  • Assist with surface preparation and painting, minor drywall and wood trim repair, light bulb and A/C filter replacement, and complete and thorough cleanup of the painting or repair area.
  • Use the Lockout/Tagout system before performing any maintenance work.
  • Display working knowledge of all engineering computer programs related to preventative maintenance, energy management, and other systems.
  • Perform mid-level troubleshooting of hotel Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems.
  • Display ability to train and mentor other engineers.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent and vocational or technical background.
  • At least 2 years of hotel engineering/maintenance experience.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Universal Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) Certification.
  • Must meet applicable state and federal certification and/or licensing requirements.

Salary

$65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience.
