Concordia University, Irvine (CUI) is seeking a qualified instructor to teach courses in Economics, Finance, and Accounting at Zhejiang Financial College (ZFC) in Hangzhou, China.

The instructor will be responsible for teaching two or three sections of ECONOMICS 201, FINANCE 331, ACCOUNTING 211, and ACCOUNTING 212. The instructor will also be required to complete and report student grades or assessments to CUI, represent CUI to the students, staff, and faculty at the Chinese partner institution, and frequently communicate with Concordia University administration, faculty, and staff to service the dual degree program students.

The ideal candidate will have a Master's or Ph.D. in Economics, Accounting, Finance, or a related field, and at least three years of experience teaching subject to College or High School students. Classes can be taught in English or Mandarin, and Mandarin is not required but helpful.

The compensation package includes adjunct pay based on experience and qualifications linked to total course hours per section, travel to China and related expenses, and a one-bedroom or shared apartment provided by ZFC. The instructor will also have the opportunity to enjoy tourism while staying in the ZFC-provided apartment.

This is a part-time position, and the instructor will be required to teach for the Spring 2024 semester and subsequent semesters. The instructor will be responsible for teaching in either the long (15-16 week) format or accelerated (2-3 week) format.

The instructor will be part of a team of faculty teaching on the ZFC campus on a full-time basis. The instructor will join this faculty in teaching courses to ZFC students and will be required to work closely with the CUI administration and faculty to ensure the success of the dual degree program.
