Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Blow Molding Engineer to join our team at Greif. As a key member of our technical team, you will be responsible for evaluating facility technical quality requirements and recommending solutions to ensure optimal efficiency, safety, and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate facility technical quality requirements and recommend solutions to ensure optimal efficiency, safety, and quality.
• Investigate customer complaints and provide feedback to customers, sales, and facilities on the results of investigations in accordance with company quality procedures.
• Design experiments and test protocols for customer, facility, and sales requirements, analyze results, and prepare reports.
• Manage Technical Service Requests (TSRs) in support of Greif business needs and innovation projects.
• Administer the sales of material handling equipment and train Greif personnel and customers in its use.
• Provide technical expertise to customers and end-users with respect to packaging procedures, container design, and cost-to-use containers and systems to handle, fill, store, and ship products.
• Provide consultative and advisory services to customers, facilities, and sales related to the proper selection and use of Greif products.
• Perform total cost of ownership studies for customers to compare the use of Greif products versus competitors or other packaging methods.
• Maintain UN, DOT, and FDA compliance data.
• Stay current on industry trends for equipment controls and implement best practices.
• May lead the work of small project teams and provide informal guidance to less experienced engineering colleagues.

Requirements:

• Typically possesses a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) and 4-8 years of experience.
• Possesses advanced knowledge of packaging/distribution dynamics, transportation regulations, electrical engineering, machine controls, system analysis, design, development, and troubleshooting.
• Demonstrates strong CAD and PLC programming skills.
• General technical acumen and understanding of financial concepts (cost analysis, budgets).
• Demonstrates strong written and oral communication, project management, and time management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
