Your Mission, Roles and Responsibilities
Mission
The Marketing Director leads the marketing team for Mechanisms & Structures PL, responsible for product plan process; promotes product line up through dedicated events and supports acquisition processes. Provides long-term view on market evolutions and guides innovation strategy.
Health, Safety & Environmental responsibilities
Respect site HSE policy for self and team. Committed to respect Quality, Safety, Environmental norms (ISO, ISO, ISO, 7 Safety Fundamentals, 10 Green Attitudes, 13 Highly Recommended Logistic Guidelines). Report through proper management channels any identified risky situation (e.g., Hawk's Eye) related to hygiene, safety, or environmental issues (e.g., scrap & waste management, chemicals, energy...).
Key Responsibilities and Tasks:
Understand market value:
Understand market for given product line: competition, technology, norms, and regs, segmentation, price trend, customers, and end users
Describe and document market and customers' expectations for engineering and sales department
Build diagnostics and identify business opportunities: growth, profitability, innovation, cost improvement
Provide market-oriented ranking criteria to prioritize innovation portfolio
Full member of PL Structures & Mechanisms Team
Build Value Offer:
Business owner of innovation projects identification in segment(s)
Provide support and orientation to innovation projects (identify target customers and models)
Assess market opportunities of new offerings
Contribute to definition of new offerings: functions, specs, price, positioning, and market approach
Identify adequate business model (make vs. buy, partnership, supplier panel...)
Issue every year product plan
Establish business plan and present it during innovation project milestones
Deliver Value:
In charge of bringing innovation to market successfully: support acquisition process, define product communication (selling tools, demonstrators...)
Lead definition of value-based pricing policy (together with costing, engineering, and sales)
Monitor deployment of product strategy: product improvement, footprint strategy, cost improvement, profitability
Lead community of people involved in product range (transversal management)
Manage Team of Marketing Managers:
Ensure proper talent at right place through internal or external recruitment processes
As and when properly staffed and organized, responsible for coaching, developing, and promoting Sales team
Assign objectives and follow-up
Training:
Develop and train collaborators
Your Profile and Competencies to Succeed:
Qualifications and competencies required or desired:
Master or Bachelor in Engineering Degree or Business
Minimum 8 years of experience in automotive industry
Professional background in client-facing positions (CBU, Acquisition, Program) and in Marketing
Strong knowledge of product and technology expertise
Business acumen (business plan, business model)
International projects management skills
Customer orientation
Fluent in English
Results-oriented with strong written and oral communication skills
Customer orientation
Ability to work in matrix organization and strong internal networking capabilities
Yes/No for travel
