Senior Deep Learning Engineer

NVIDIA is a leading technology company that is revolutionizing the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and High-Performance Computing. As a pioneer in the development of the Graphics Processing Unit (GPU), our company has played a crucial role in the advancement of modern computing.
We are currently seeking a highly skilled Speech Data Scientist to join our Riva Product Engineering team. This individual will be responsible for developing high-impact, high-visibility Speech AI products that will improve the experience of millions of customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement advanced speech recognition and translation models using deep learning techniques.
- Develop and maintain speech processing blocks and tools, including alignment, segmentation, and normalization.
- Improve processes for speech data processing, augmentation, filtering, and training set preparation.
- Measure and benchmark model performance, and gather knowledge on speech datasets for training and evaluation.
- Collaborate with various teams to develop new product features and improve existing products.
- Lead and mentor junior team members, and contribute to the growth and development of the team.
Requirements:
- Master's degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or Applied Math, with 5+ years of experience.
- Excellent programming skills in Python, with strong fundamentals in programming, optimizations, and software design.
- Hands-on experience with speech technologies, including Automatic Speech Recognition, Speech Command detection, Text to Speech, Speaker Recognition and Identification, speaker diarization, Noise robustness Techniques, Voice activity detection, and End of utterance detection.
- Strong knowledge of RNN-T, CTC, and transformer decoders, as well as ML/DL techniques, algorithms, and tools, including CNN, RNN (LSTM), and Transformers.
- Experience with leading efforts and/or teams developing Speech AI products, and exposure to basic speech digital signal processing and feature extraction techniques, such as FFT, MFCC, and Mel Spectrogram.
- Strong collaborative and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to effectively guide and influence within a dynamic matrix environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience developing end-to-end and unified speech recognition and translation systems for multiple languages.
- Strong C++ programming skills, and familiarity with GPU-based technologies, such as CUDA, CuDNN, and TensorRT.
- Background with Docker and Kubernetes, and experience deploying machine learning models on data center, cloud, and embedded systems.
