Overview of the Role

As a Quantitative Research Intern at Akuna Capital, you will be part of a dynamic team of mathematicians, statisticians, and technologists dedicated to innovative trading strategies. This internship program is designed to enhance your skills and provide practical experience in a fast-paced environment.

In this role, you will:

  • Create and refine trading strategies utilizing statistical methods and machine learning techniques.
  • Develop and implement optimization algorithms for effective portfolio management.
  • Construct quantitative models to analyze and predict market trends.
  • Contribute to ongoing projects and investigate new research avenues.

Ideal Candidate Attributes:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Engineering, Bioinformatics, Mechanics, Financial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong foundation in statistics and machine learning.
  • Proven experience in developing mathematical models for intricate real-world challenges.
  • Proficient programming skills in Python; knowledge of C++ is advantageous.
  • Previous financial experience is not necessary.
  • Must be prepared to participate in technical interviews conducted in English.
