GPA Specialist

Job Summary

The GPA Specialist will play a critical role in supporting INVISTA’s government and public affairs initiatives. They will be responsible for managing relationships with government officials, implementing government relations strategies, and developing public affairs strategies to promote the company’s interests.

Key Responsibilities

• Government Relationship Building: Build and maintain relationships with government officials, industry associations, and stakeholders to effectively represent the company’s positions and navigate the political landscape.
• Public Policy Monitoring: Stay informed about related public policy issues, monitor legislative and regulatory developments, and provide insights and recommendations to inform the company’s positions and advocacy efforts.
• Media Relations: Cultivate relationships with media outlets, respond to media inquiries, coordinate interviews, and draft press releases to secure positive media coverage and enhance the company’s public image.
• Crisis Management: Coordinate responses to manage and mitigate potential reputation risks, acting as a point of contact during crises and ensuring timely and accurate communication with internal and external stakeholders.
• Interpretation & Translation: Provide simultaneous or consecutive interpretation during meetings, conferences, and events, ensuring accurate and culturally sensitive communication while maintaining the speaker’s tone and context.

Requirements

• 5 years of working experience in government and public affairs, including government affairs, public affairs, and communication.
• Fluency and proficiency in English.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders effectively.
• Analytical mindset, with the ability to interpret data and insights to inform communication strategies and decision-making.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
