Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Superintendent to join our team at SBM Offshore. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the electrical commissioning process on our FPSO/FSO production installations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and guidance to electrical personnel during construction and commissioning activities.
  • Ensure the completion of electrical installation and testing procedures in accordance with industry best practices and company standards.
  • Verify electrical safety and integrity audits during construction activities.
  • Manage electrical training and competency assessments for project personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical safety guidelines and regulations.
  • Liaise with the completions group and participate in final completion check out and approval of inspection and test records.
  • Assist with the completion of operational test procedures.
  • Provide advice and solutions to the completions group where any system deficiencies exist.
  • Responsible for approving proposed solutions and checking completed corrective actions to close out non-compliance issues.

Requirements

  • Electrical technician with a minimum of 10 years' experience in electrical engineering and/or construction and/or project management.
  • Minimum 5 years' offshore petrochemical experience with emphasis on FPSO/FSO production installations.
  • Previous experience in a REP role is required.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Other relevant languages are also desirable.
  • 5 years' proven supervisory experience with prior high voltage senior authorized position.
  • Excellent practical knowledge of permit to work, electrical isolation procedures, risk assessment, and man management.
  • Mandatory CompEx hazardous areas IEC60079-14 & 17 training must be completed and a valid certificate.
