Main Responsibilities

As a key member of the Covestro team, the QC Supervisor will lead the Quality Control team in monitoring the On-line and Finish Goods quality performance to ensure the quality of products. This involves ensuring that all QC activities are compliant with HSE requirements and taking initiative to improve safety awareness.

The successful candidate will be responsible for statistic and monitoring the safety performance of the quality team, including Recordable Incident Rate, Near Miss, Job Safety Behavior Observation, and Close rate of safety walk-through. They will also make and review SOPs and JHAs in a timely manner based on ISO 9001, regulations, standards, and HSE requirements.

The QC Supervisor will organize monthly quality meetings with production, supply chain, and maintenance teams to analyze production trends and improve quality stability. They will also work with each work package leader on root cause analysis and corrective action regarding fatal quality incidents.

Additionally, the successful candidate will plan, establish, and maintain calibration, round robin test, and preventive maintenance programs for lab equipment and instruments to ensure accuracy and reliability. They will also collect and analyze quality data, propose continuous improvement projects, and collaborate with Application Development and Research & Development departments.

The QC Supervisor will be responsible for Lot release, monitoring testing reliability, testing time, and quality performance to meet customer requirements. They will also support the HSEQ Manager in coaching, training, and advising Lab technicians on quality control guidelines.

Qualification Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or above in Polymer Material, Chemical Process & Engineering
• More than 8 years of working experience in QC
• Good English skills and MS Office skills

• Positive attitude for work and learning
• Courageous, logical, and execution-oriented
