Your Responsibilities

As our dedicated Airfreight Sales Executive (f/m/d) in China, you will play a pivotal role in building, nurturing, and expanding our airfreight client base, thereby generating new business opportunities for Forto in the region while managing contract renewals for your existing clients. This is a unique chance to be instrumental in establishing Forto's presence in the Chinese market.

Key Duties

  • Contribute significantly to the growth of Forto in China
  • Drive the acquisition of new airfreight clients and enhance Forto's airfreight portfolio in the region
  • Manage your own client portfolio, ensuring seamless contract renewals through Forto's CRM system and related tools
  • Develop and implement sales strategies and activities, including pipeline management, to meet budget targets
  • Foster strong relationships with clients, actively contributing to mutual success
  • Anticipate future client needs and collaborate with our product and technology teams to enhance our customer platform
  • Provide insights on market dynamics, including competitor behaviors, to relevant departments
  • Deliver high-quality presentations on our standardized airfreight offerings to clients
  • Create and present tailored airfreight proposals to clients
  • Negotiate contractual terms in alignment with corporate sales policies
  • Adhere to approved credit limits and enforce agreed payment terms
  • Maintain effective communication and collaboration with other departments at Forto
  • Influence positive change within the organization informally

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2+ years in sales and account management within freight forwarding/logistics, with at least 2+ years in airfreight; customer service experience is a plus
  • A degree in business/logistics or a completed apprenticeship in logistics
  • Proficiency in Mandarin and English
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A customer-focused mindset with experience in airfreight business development
  • A growth-oriented mindset with experience in a fast-paced business environment; startup experience is advantageous
  • Exceptional sales abilities and a talent for building and maintaining client networks
  • Dependability, independence, high motivation, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic team setting
