Strategic Communications Manager

The primary objective of this position is to bolster Haleon's leadership and strategic initiatives within the Southeast Asia and Taiwan (SEAT) Business Unit (BU), focusing on long-term reputation management. The Corporate Affairs Manager will collaborate closely with the Southeast Asia and Taiwan Corporate Affairs Lead to steer government relations and communications strategies, overseeing all aspects of communications, including public relations, media management, and internal communications, while ensuring alignment with both BU and global corporate affairs priorities.
This position demands meticulous management of the organization's reputation through engagement with all external stakeholders, including government representatives, industry regulators, trade associations, advocacy groups, and the media.

- Formulating and implementing a cohesive communications and government affairs strategy that addresses brand-related issues, legislative matters, and sustainability, supporting Haleon's business objectives and safeguarding its reputation.
- Collaborating with essential stakeholders across the organization, including market leadership teams and global Corporate Affairs teams, to shape and convey strategic messages while fostering trust among customers, media, employees, and government entities.
- Partnering with regulatory, medical affairs, and legal teams to cultivate strong relationships with government officials and industry organizations, advocating for favorable legislation and regulations that support business growth.
- Identifying pertinent legislative and regulatory opportunities in partnership with R&D and Regulatory Affairs teams to help the business navigate external developments effectively.
- Recognizing key stakeholders who are vital allies in shaping and enhancing Haleon's strategy and reputation across key categories.
- Working with BU and global teams to create and execute strategic media relations and communication plans that bolster Haleon's business priorities and core brands.
- Developing and implementing a robust internal communications strategy that fosters employee engagement in a dynamic environment.
- Leading initiatives to facilitate direct communication with employees, such as Town Hall meetings, and preparing presentations and content to maximize engagement.
Basic Qualifications:
We seek professionals with the following qualifications:
- 10-15 years of experience in a Corporate or Government Affairs capacity.
- Proven track record in internal and external communications strategy development and execution, including agency management.

- Proven expertise in media management, public relations, and crisis management.
- Strong business acumen, strategic thinking, and execution capabilities to support brand growth.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build trust across various relationships.
- Proficiency in English, along with strong negotiation and influencing skills.
- Ability to navigate a fast-paced and complex geopolitical landscape, demonstrating adaptability and attention to detail.
